Bill Anderson has been promoted to senior vice president of insurance operations and Sharon Petrell, assistant vice president of marketing and integrated solutions of the Main Street America Group in Jacksonville, Fla.

Anderson, vice president of marketing and integrated solutions, replaces Bob Restrepo, who resigned to become chairman and chief executive officer of State Auto Financial Corp. Anderson will oversee Main Street America’s commercial lines, personal lines, marketing and integrated solutions, information technology, and information systems and services units.

In 1997, Anderson joined Main Street as director of corporate marketing. From 1998 to 2004, he served as vice president and regional director of its New England Region; and in August 2004, became vice president, marketing and integrated solutions.

Anderson was with Allstate Insurance Company for 16 years, where he held management positions.

Petrell will assume responsibility for Main Street America’s personal lines and commercial lines product marketing, agency automation, marketing administration and strategic project management. She has been a member of the firm’s product marketing teams. Last August, she was appointed director of personal lines marketing.

In 1995, Petrell joined the firm as supervisor of its workers’ compensation and property claims units, and from 1997-98, was regional automation manager. In 1998, Petrell became regional personal lines underwriting manager for the company’s Syracuse Region. In 2001 she joined its marketing team as territory manager for Western New York and in 2003 was appointed director of operations in personal lines.

Before joining Main Street America, Petrell was with CIGNA Companies for seven years, in claims and account management positions.

Michael Cratem has joined Florida-based King’s Bay Insurance Services as senior vice president, Underwriting.

Cratem will be responsible for the underwriting function of this Florida licensed Managing General Agency. He has more than 14 years of property/casualty experience.

KBIS is a member of the Intendant Holding Corporation. In addition to KBIS, another operating entity of the Intendant family includes King’s Bay Reinsurance Intermediaries Inc. KBRe is a reinsurance intermediary engaged in developing and servicing reinsurance programs on behalf of property/casualty companies in the southeastern states. KBRe is licensed in Florida and New York.

Church services and a Feb. 12 funeral were held in Birmingham, Ala. for Bill Worley, former owner of the Anchor Insurance Agency in Hoover, Ala. Worley is the father of Lisa Worley, a former Alabama Independent Insurance Agents board member and instructor.

Mr. Worley opened his agency after serving in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Mary, Lisa and her family, and his extended family.

The funeral took place at Elmwood Cemetery Chapel, 800 Dennison Avenue S.W. and 600 Martin Luther King Boulevard in Birmingham.
