OneBeacon Technology Insurance appointed Mary Fisk-Bieker as vice president and central and eastern territories underwriting manager. She brings more than 25 years of insurance experience to OneBeacon, 23 years of which have focused on all lines of coverage for the technology industry. Prior to joining OneBeacon, she served as regional underwriting director at CNA.

Marsh has named Anthony Mastrolia leader of construction risk management within its U.S. construction practice. Mastrolia, who will be based in New Jersey, is a 35-year veteran of the insurance and risk management industry, primarily in the construction sector. He will work closely with insurers and Marsh’s property and casualty colleagues to design insurance programs for Marsh’s construction clients and will also oversee new construction business in Marsh’s middle-market and large account segments. He joins Marsh from Aon.

Maine-based Acadia Insurance has promoted Dan Swift to vice president and general counsel. Swift most recently served as assistant vice president and assistant general counsel and has been handling a variety of legal matters across all company departments. Swift joined the company in 2004. He has more than 15 years of experience in insurance and corporate law having previously worked in the legal department at another New England carrier as well as the Massachusetts and Maine Departments of Insurance.

Philadelphia Insurance Cos. (PHLY) has promoted John Glomb to chief underwriting officer. Glomb, a 15-year veteran of the insurance and financial services industry, most recently serving as senior vice president of underwriting. He joined PHLY in 2007 as senior vice president of the management and professional liability division. In 2009, he took on responsibility for PHLY’s entire underwriting department as senior vice president. He has also held positions with Banc of America Securities and AIG.

Rhode Island-based Gencorp Insurance Group has appointed Robert Bikash to oversee the company’s financial and administrative planning. Bikash most recently served as finance director and business manager of a landscape architectural business in Rhode Island and formerly served as financial project manager for the Rhode Island Department of Administration.

New York-based program administrator Oryx Insurance has appointed Thomas A. Pasquale as president and CEO. Pasquale will oversee the company’s financials and the program business, wholesale and claims administration departments. Prior to his appointment, he served as the company’s vice president where he oversaw company financials, underwriting and overall agent and policyholder satisfaction. Oryx specializes in construction and works with agents in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Peerless Insurance has appointed Robert M. Rooney Jr. to regional vice president of its New Hampshire-Vermont region. Rooney will oversee growth of commercial lines business and maintain agency relations in both states. Rooney will manage a staff of approximately 50 employees and oversee marketing, underwriting and policy administration in those states. Rooney has been with Peerless Insurance for more than 22 years. Carl J. Canales will succeed Rooney as vice president of marketing for Peerless. He will oversee agency distribution management for Peerless, agent incentive plans and overall marketing strategy for the company’s eight-state territory. Canales has been a marketing consultant with Colorado Casualty – another Liberty Mutual company – since July 2008. He joined the company in May 2004 as a territory manager.
