Holborn Corp., an independent reinsurance brokerage firm in New York, appointed two executives: Wesley Zeliff as vice president and Shinji Ueda as assistant vice president. Zeliff comes from U.S. RE Corporation, where he served as senior vice president. Ueda also comes from U.S. RE, where he served as assistant vice president.

XL Group, headquartered in Ireland, made three appointments in Hartford, Conn.: Virginia Cameron as senior vice president, marine; Anne Marie Elder as senior vice president, inland marine; and Alexander McGinley as vice president, marine underwriting. Cameron was chief underwriting officer at Travelers Ocean Marine Division. Elder was assistant vice president of marine strategy, operations and underwriting at The Hartford. McGinley was a marine underwriting officer at The Hartford. XL also appointed Lorraine Seib as New York-based president of North America P/C insurance group’s excess casualty team. Seib has over 30 years of underwriting and management experience. She comes from Travelers where she served as president of excess casualty.

Selective Insurance Group in Branchville, N.J. appointed Amy Carver as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. Carver comes from Computer Sciences Corp. where she was vice president of human resources. Selective also announced two promotions. Dana Shutters is promoted to vice president, operational excellence, from assistant vice president, quality assurance. Katherine Slonina is promoted to assistant vice president, regulatory compliance officer, from manager of regulatory services.

CRC Insurance Services, a wholesale broker headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., hired Kenneth Echols as a casualty broker for the Parsippany, N.J., office. He was previously a broker at Atlantic Risk Specialties and prior to that was a underwriting manager at GNY Custom Insurance Company.

Lockton Companies, a Kansas City, Mo.-headquartered broker, appointed Joe Sheridan as a marine specialist in New York. He was most recently at Hugh Wood New York and prior to that at Willis New York. Lockton also hired Derek Lakin as senior vice president in New York. He joins Lockton after more than 17 years with Marsh, most recently serving as senior vice president and team leader for New York City commercial FINPRO team.

Swett & Crawford, an Atlanta-headquartered wholesale intermediary, hired Chris Hendrix as a casualty broker at its Philadelphia-North office. Hendrix comes from Southern Cross Underwriters where he was a commercial P/C underwriter.

TGA Cross, a broker in Wakefield, Mass., announced two appointments: Gary Heaslip as a producer and Mike O’Brien as a marketing manager. Heaslip was executive vice president of Starkweather and Shepley Insurance Brokerage. O’Brien was senior vice president of sales & marketing at the William Palumbo Insurance Agency.

Rutherfoord, an insurance broker and risk management provider based in Roanoke, Va., appointed Jack Cunningham as producer/account executive. Cunningham brings over 20 years of expertise in the construction industry. Rutherfoord is a Marsh & McLennan Agency company.

BDO Consulting, a professional services provider in Washington, D.C., hired Clark Schweers as managing director and head of its insurance claim services practice. Previously, Schweers was a senior manager in Ernst & Young’s fraud investigation and dispute services practice.

RMI Consulting, a risk management provider in New York, hired Christopher Borget as management liability consultant. Previously, Borget worked at AIG for seven years, holding most recently the position of senior training specialist in Chartis’ learning and development division.
