Questpro Consultants and Q TEMPS have named new partners for the Dallas-based insurance recruiting and staffing firms.

At Questpro, Johnny Park and Jason Simmons have been named the second and third partners of the 16-year-old firm.

Q TEMPS, the sister company to Questpro, named its first two partners — Kathy Gilman and Debbie Hubbell. Gilman was the first employee at Q TEMPS and Hubbell has been a huge piece of the success, leading the sales team.

Questpro and Q Temps specialize in temporary/contract staffing in the insurance industry.

Kemper Corp. has named Andrea James president of Kemper Preferred, the business focused on selling packaged private passenger auto and home policies through independent agents.

Prior to this role, James joined Kemper Preferred as senior vice president, marketing and sales, responsibilities she will retain. She will continue to report to Denise I. Lynch, property and casualty group executive at Kemper Corp.

James joined Kemper Preferred in May 2012 and brought with her more than 20 years of industry experience. She has worked on the agency side as well as the insurance company side of the industry.

Marita Zuraitis, a member of The Hanover Insurance Group’s executive leadership team and president of its property/casualty companies, is resigning to become president and chief executive officer of Horace Mann Educators Corp. She leaves after nine years with the company. The resignation is effective May 10.

The Hartford named John Kinney as the company’s chief claims officer and also as president of Heritage Holdings, a unit which oversees The Hartford’s domestic and international property/casualty run-off operations.

He succeeds Andrew Pinkes, who joined XL Group’s insurance operations as executive vice president, global head of claims.

Kinney will lead The Hartford’s property/casualty and group benefits claims operations and its more than 5,000 employees.

Super regional property and casualty insurance holding company, State Auto Financial Corp., named Matthew R. Pollak vice president, treasurer and chief accounting officer. Pollak also serves in these same positions with State Automobile Mutual Insurance Co. and State Auto Property & Casualty Insurance Co.
