Houston, Texas-based independent Insurance agency, Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates Inc., elected Timothy J. Brady to senior vice president and equity partner.

Prior to joining BCH, Brady gained experience in the wholesale brokerage and insurance company sectors. While at AmWINS Group Inc. he worked with both property brokers and casualty brokers. He also worked for a construction and manufacturing insurer, Amerisure Insurance Co., where he completed its developmental marketing underwriter program.

BCH also hired Ryan McPhetridge as retirement plan advisor. McPhetridge previously managed more than 100 clients for a Texas based financial institution. McPhetridge has almost a decade of experience in the retirement plan industry.

Located in Northwest Houston, BCH specializes in insurance and risk management.

MaximGroup, headquartered in Houston, added three new employees to its team of insurance, risk management and financial experts: Debbie Hagerty, Roxanne Matela and Greg McIver.

Hagerty worked as MaximGroup’s vice president of operations for more than 15 years before leaving in 2010 to travel and spend time with family. She returned to MaximGroup as vice president of client services.

Matela comes to MaximGroup after 21 years in the insurance industry. She has previously held positions at Barmore Insurance Agency Inc. and Bowen, Miclette & Britt. As account manager, she will be responsible for select accounts.

McIver, marketing manager, has 24 years of experience in the industry. His responsibilities at MaximGroup include placing large commercial accounts and serving as the agency’s liaison to the insurance marketplace, monitoring product availability, pricing and industry trends.

The Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma named Denise Johnson to lead the association upon the retirement of long time IIAO President/CEO Dan Ramsey.

Johnson will join the IIAO on June 1 and take over the leadership role on Sept. 1. She has served IIAO in many capacities as a volunteer and will be able to capitalize on that experience as she prepares to lead the organization, the IIAO said.

USI Insurance Services (USI) promoted Edward J. Daigle to president of USI’s Louisiana practice.

Daigle will be responsible for growing USI’s middle market brokerage practice in Louisiana and will be located at USI’s Houma, La., office.

Daigle has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been with USI for 24 years. Prior to the promotion, he was an executive vice president at USI’s Houma, La. office. In that role, Daigle was a property/casualty leader and commercial lines producer for mid to large-sized accounts in the marine, industrial and oil industries. He holds the CIC professional designation.

USI is headquartered in Valhalla, N.Y., and operates out of more than 100 offices across the United States.

Texas Commissioner of Insurance Julia Rathgeber appointed Lyndell Haigood to serve on the board of directors of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) for a term to expire in March 2015.

The board oversees all TWIA operations and carries out the duties set forth in Chapter 2210 of the Texas Insurance Code.

Haigood, of Wichita Falls, is a regional vice president for State Auto Insurance Co. where he is responsible for all personal lines sales in a region which encompasses Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. He formerly served on the Texas Windstorm Technical Advisory Panel and is a member of the boards of the Association of Fire and Casualty Companies of Texas, Insurance Council of Texas, and Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association.

New Benefits, a Dallas-based provider of employee benefits and services, announced that Brian Latkowski joined the company as executive vice president, employee benefits practice leader.

Latkowski has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Most recently, he was with Frost Insurance as senior vice president, employee benefits practice leader. Latkowski also previously served as vice president, health and welfare practice leader National Financial Partners.

York Risk Services Group. Inc., a provider of claims management, managed care and risk management services, named Francis Fey regional president for Texas.

Fey will continue to serve as president of JI Companies, a York Risk Services Group member. Based in Austin, JI provides risk management, pool administration, claims management and risk control services throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

Fey has completed specialized study in programs sponsored by the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) and the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA).
