Jim Bishop has joined Southwest Risk LP as a vice president and property broker.

Bishop has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry with extensive knowledge of the marketplace in the central United States. He began his career as a property underwriter with Aetna Life and Casualty in Tulsa, Okla.

Bishop most recently served as branch manager/sales leader at Swett & Crawford in Dallas.

JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc. (JLT Specialty USA), a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. (JLT), appointed Robert M. Battenfield as senior vice president and leader of downstream energy. He is located in Houston.

Battenfield will lead JLT Specialty USA’s downstream energy and power business.

Prior to joining JLT Specialty USA, Battenfield served as senior vice president and account executive at Aon Risk Services. Previously, he was a national resource broker in power and energy with Aon Risk Solutions’ energy group in Houston.

He began his career in 2002 as an account specialist working exclusively in the energy sector with Global Special Risk Inc.

Wells Fargo Insurance, part of Wells Fargo & Co., appointed industry veteran Kristine Meuse to lead cross-sell efforts for its insurance brokerage and consulting (IBC) division. She is based in Dallas.

Meuse will work closely with Wells Fargo’s corporate and commercial banking groups to provide risk management and insurance services to customers.

Meuse joins Wells Fargo Insurance from Marsh, where she spent nearly 18 years in various leadership roles. She served as managing director and head of the Dallas office where she was responsible for revenue growth, profitability, client retention and recruitment. Most recently, Meuse was global risk management (GRM) leader at Marsh, overseeing several key national initiatives for its US GRM client segment.

The South Central operation of property/casualty wholesale insurance broker All Risks Ltd. added Eric Graves as a producer in Dallas.

Graves joins the Dallas office as a brokerage underwriter and brings proven abilities in sales, marketing and business development.

He was with Southwest Risk LP before joining All Risks. Graves has managed a sizeable book of excess and surplus business with positive revenue growth.
