The Hartford named Kathy Bromage as chief marketing and communications officer and David Robinson as executive vice president and general counsel, effective June 1, 2015.

Bromage joined The Hartford in 2004 as chief marketing and strategy officer for Personal Lines. She also served as the senior vice president of e-business with oversight responsibility for The Hartford’s digital assets, channels and marketing activities before assuming the role of The Hartford’s chief marketing officer and senior vice president of strategy for the Small Commercial segment.

Robinson succeeds current General Counsel Alan Kreczko who is stepping down from the post. Robinson joined The Hartford in 2006 and has held a number of leadership positions including leading The Hartford’s legal efforts in property/casualty and group benefits, overseeing corporate law and serving as corporate secretary.

American International Group Inc. hired Michael Brady for the newly created post of chief technology officer. Brady most recently served as head of infrastructure at Kaiser Permanente, according to a company memo from AIG Chief Information Officer Phil Fasano.

The memo said Brady’s appointment is part of AIG’s ongoing effort to transform “AIG into a company where technology is actively involved in business strategy.”

At AIG, Brady will develop AIG’s technical infrastructure vision and lead its development, and will be responsible for identifying appropriate leading edge technologies.

Brady’s first priority will be to focus on improvements to the company’s technology performance, making sure that the employees’ work experience is as productive and free of technological obstacles as possible, the memo said.

Vermont Mutual Insurance Group announced that its Board of Directors has elected Executive Vice President Daniel C. Bridge as president of the Group. Bridge succeeds President and CEO William A. Catto who will retire on June 30, 2015.

Catto will continue in his CEO post until his retirement in June. After Catto’s retirement, Bridge will also assume the CEO post to become president and CEO of the Group. Bridge joined Vermont Mutual in 2009. Prior to joining Vermont Mutual, he held senior leadership positions at several regional and national insurance companies within New England.
