Church Mutual Insurance Co., based in Merrill, Wis., added Laura J. Hughes as chief marketing officer.

She has more than 20 years of experience and an emphasis on the financial services industry. Prior to joining Church Mutual, Hughes led Digital Marketing for the Commercial Banking Division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and served as the vice president of National Marketing for the Federal Reserve System, the Central Bank of the United States.

Oswald Companies, based in Cleveland, Ohio, appointed Tim Walsh as director of Construction Practice, Property & Casualty.

Based in Detroit, Walsh joins Oswald with more than 28 years of industry experience, most recently serving as executive vice president, managing national director of Project Solutions, at Aon.

Walsh holds the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation.

International insurance brokerage and risk management firm Integro Ltd. hired Ben Rubin as a principal and head of mergers and acquisitions. He is based in Chicago.

Rubin joins Integro from Chicago’s Lake Forest Bank & Trust, where he led insurance brokerage acquisition-related financing activities in the United States and Canada.

Property/casualty insurance wholesaler, J.M. Wilson, based in Portage, Mich., has promoted Cheryl Gleason to Personal Lines manager. She will also continue her role as Claims specialist.

Gleason joined J.M. Wilson in 2015, bringing with her 29 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining J.M. Wilson, she worked as a casualty auditor, bodily injury adjuster, PIP adjuster, non-injury manager, PIP manager and a field property claims specialist.

Ron Lockton has been named vice chairman of Kansas City, Mo.-based privately held, independent insurance broker, Lockton Inc. He is the son of Jack Lockton, the late founder of the company, and nephew of Lockton Chairman David Lockton.

As vice chairman, Ron Lockton will help drive the strategic direction of the business while continuing to advise clients on risk management, employee benefits, and insurance issues.

He joined Lockton Companies in 1990 after working with Aetna as a casualty underwriter.

Don Giordano joined Ohio-based The McGowan Companies (TMC) as executive vice president.

Giordano will be working with McGowan’s carrier and distribution partners to create additional excess casualty products and services.

He comes to The McGowan Companies from CapSpecialty where he held a senior management position in their Casualty division. Prior to CapSpecialty, Giordano was with AIG where he managed excess casualty profit centers in National Accounts, Commercial Accounts, Real Estate and Financial Institutions, Programs and Small Business.

Mary Cummins has been named executive director of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation – Midwest Division. Cummins will be instrumental in charting and implementing the future growth of the Midwest Division and the Ohio Chapter. She is directly responsible for all aspects of the division.

Cummins reports directly to Bill Ross as an IICF employee.

She brings to the Foundation a strong marketing and events background, having worked in profit and non-profit environments.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., based in Itasca, Ill., appointed Walter P. Bryce, Sean P. Connelly, James J. Murray, Russell G. Parsons, Russell J. Pass and Jonathon M. Winsbury as corporate vice presidents.

Bryce began his career in retail insurance in 1982. He joined the company as an acquisition partner in 1995, and has served in various sales and management positions in the company’s retail property/casualty brokerage business.

Connelly joined the company in 2015 as its global chief information officer. He brings 28 years of technology leadership experience with financial services firms.

Murray began his insurance career in 1985 and joined the company in 1992. He currently serves as executive vice president, Legislative Compliance & Risk Management.

Parsons has worked in the insurance industry for more than 37 years. He joined the company in 1985 and currently serves as executive officer of international operations.

Pass has more than 30 years of experience working in the financial services and insurance industries. He joined the company in 2011 and currently heads up both information technology and product development for third-party claims management business.

Winsbury has more than 29 years in the insurance and claims industry. He joined the company in 1998 and is now managing director of the Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific operations for third-party claims management business.
