Jeff Presley has joined Houston-based Securance Corporation Agency as vice president of Marketing and Operations for property/casualty.

Presley brings more than 35 years of industry experience to his new role where he will be directing P/C marketing, and working with the sales force and service staff.

The Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLSOT) appointed Tara N. Mitchell as director of Information & Technology Services.

Mitchell previously worked in financial regulation at the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), most recently serving as the registrations officer for Company Licensing & Registration. Prior to joining TDI, she was a personal banker with JPMorgan Chase.

Mitchell holds the Accredited Financial Examiner (AFE) and Project Management Professional (PMP) designations.

Willis North America appointed David S.J. Wightman, as senior vice president and West Region surety practice leader. He is based in Houston.

Wightman joins Willis from Aon where he most recently served as director, Southwest Region, Construction Services and Surety Group.

Wightman will be responsible for Willis NA’s Surety operations in Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Oregon and Washington. He has 30 years of experience in insurance and surety.

He currently serves as the Construction Financial Management Association’s national secretary, vice chair of the Finance Committee, and vice chair of the Leadership Advisory Board. He is also a past president and active member of CFMA’s Houston Chapter.

Texas Associates Insurors added J.D. Steanson as a risk and insurance advisor, specializing in commercial contractor, home construction contractor and trade contractor risk assessment. Steanson is a member and has served on the board of directors for the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin. He is also a member of the Texas Association of Builders.
