John Pollock, BB&T Insurance Services Florida regional insurance president, has been promoted to a multi-state regional leadership position. According to the company, BB&T Insurance Services is experiencing significant growth and recently acquired Susquehanna Bancshares in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. In his new role, Pollock will oversee the Florida, Pennsylvania and Tennessee regions of BB&T Insurance Services.

Pollock joined the Oswald Trippe and Company (OTC) agency as a commercial lines processor in 1990 and became president of OTC in 2002. BB&T acquired Oswald Trippe Agency in 2009. Pollock currently oversees 550 employees at more than 18 BB&T Insurance Services locations throughout his new region.

BB&T-Oswald Trippe and Company provides insurance and risk-management services to families and businesses throughout Florida.

Normandy Insurance has promoted Robert Sublet to vice president of Business Development. Formerly a senior field underwriter with Normandy, Sublet’s new role will focus on accelerating Normandy’s growth.

During his tenure at Normandy, Sublet has worked on the development of many marketing initiatives and assisted with Normandy’s underwriting division.

He was previously the territory sales manager for a national insurer, and also worked with Philadelphia Insurance Co., CNA Insurance Co., and Allmerica Financial Corp.

Normandy Insurance has also hired Frank Primato as senior field underwriter. In his new position, Primato will develop and service the agency distribution network in Central Florida.

Primato has more than 14 years of experience, with an emphasis on workers’ compensation. Previously the marketing representative in Central and Northern Florida for a Florida insurance company, Primato also has experience with Tower Group Co. and AequiCap Program Administrators.

Normandy Insurance Co. provides workers’ comp products for Florida small and mid-size business owners. The company is headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Hiscox appointed Bryan Falchuk as head of Claims for its Hiscox USA business unit. Falchuk will be based in Atlanta and replaces former Head of Claims Nicole Goodwin, who became chief underwriting officer of the business this past summer.

Falchuk will report to Jeremy Pinchin, Hiscox Group’s director of Claims, and Hiscox USA CEO Ben Walter.

Prior to joining Hiscox, Falchuk held several senior roles in insurance and as a consultant with firms including Liberty Mutual and McKinsey. He also held a variety of roles with Beazley.

Alliant Insurance Services, a nationwide specialty insurance brokerage firm, announced that Jason Behnke has joined its Alliant Americas division as vice president. The Miami Beach-based Behnke will work with midsized businesses throughout the region to deliver programs encompassing risk management, property and casualty insurance, and employee benefits.

Behnke joins Alliant with more than 15 years of experience in insurance brokerage and a targeted expertise within the construction, manufacturing, and transportation industries. Prior to joining Alliant, he was vice president with a global insurance brokerage, where he oversaw business development and program design.

Previously, he held a management position with Behnke & Associates, a family-owned regional insurance agency based in Hollywood, Fla.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) reported that Thomas Williams has been named regional practice leader, Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL), for North America. Based in Atlanta, he will report to Dieter J. Hautzer, vice president, regional head of liability for North America.

Williams succeeds Arthur Lu, who has been promoted to head of global EIL, based in New York.

In his position, Williams is responsible for building the EIL line of business and growing its presence in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Launched in 2014, the EIL practice offers coverages addressing pollution legal liability, contractors’ pollution liability as well as pollution excess in the construction, energy, manufacturing and real estate segments.

Most recently, Williams was senior vice president of the Environmental Division at AIG where he was responsible for a 24-state territory. Prior to this, he was regional manager in the Environmental Division for the Southeast region, a role he held for more than four years.
