Regions Financial, headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., has named Rick Ulmer president and CEO of Regions Insurance Group, Inc. with responsibility for Regions Insurance operations in 10 states. Regions Insurance Group, Inc. is a subsidiary of Regions Financial and an affiliate of Regions Bank.

Ulmer has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience and most recently led the Regions Insurance Mid-America Region which includes offices in Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas. Ulmer will report directly to Bill Ritter, head of Regions Wealth Management. Ulmer succeeds Curren Coco.

Prior to joining Regions Insurance in 2013, Ulmer was a managing director for Marsh USA, where he was the Sales leader for the North Central Region and Industry Executive for Marsh’s industry verticals in the Central zone. Ulmer has served as president of The MMI Agency, Inc., and previously held leadership roles at Clarity Group, Trilogy and ePolicy. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Regions Insurance is a licensed insurance broker serving customers across the country through a network of offices throughout the Southeast, Texas and Indiana. In addition to business insurance and individual insurance options, Regions Insurance also provides employee benefits services, crop insurance and captive insurance products.

International broker and risk management firm Integro Insurance Brokers has hired Tony Sandfrey to lead the firm’s Environmental practice. He will be based in Atlanta.

Sandfrey, who began his career as an environmental consultant specializing in remediation systems, has more than 17 years of experience as an environmental insurance underwriter, broker, technical professional, leader and advisor to Integro. He joins from Marsh USA, where he led the environmental practice in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic hubs. He was also vice president and syndicator at Aon, and a senior environmental lines underwriter at AIG.

Integro is an international insurance brokerage and risk management firm. Integro and its family of specialty insurance and reinsurance companies, operate from offices in the United States, Bermuda, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

United Insurance Holdings Corp. (UPC Insurance), a property and casualty insurance holding company, appointed Scott St. John as its chief claims officer. St. John will be responsible for directing and leading all aspects of the company’s claims operations.

St. John has more than 25 years of industry-related experience. Most recently, St. John served as the Eastern Property Field Zone leader for Farmers Insurance Group. While at Farmers, St. John was responsible for managing all personal lines property claims in a 27-state region.

UPC Insurance is an insurance holding company that sources, writes and services residential property and casualty insurance policies using a network of independent agents and a group of wholly owned insurance subsidiaries.

IFG Companies has added Brett M. Blumencranz as senior vice president, head of Sales and Marketing. Blumencranz comes to IFG with more than 20 years of experience in business development within the financial services industry, including the development and execution of sales and growth strategies in insurance.

Blumencranz will be based in IFG’s Alpharetta, Ga., office and will report to Christopher M. Lewis, IFG Companies’ Group president.

IFG Companies is a privately held insurance group providing property-casualty insurance on both a non-admitted and an admitted basis.
