V3 Insurance Partners LLC, a Newtown, Penn.-based specialty insurance program administrator, has named Brian Janitschke chief operating officer.

In this role, he will be based in V3’s Newtown offices and will focus on advanced underwriting, analytics and new customer-friendly technology.

Janitschke began his insurance industry career as an assistant actuary at the St. Paul Companies. Subsequently, he served as senior partner at habitational specialist managing general agency (MGA), Curry, MacWilliam, Janitschke, before joining Collins as vice president and actuary. He then was asked to join Fireman’s Fund as vice president of professional liability.

He most recently held roles focused on predictive analytics as the chief actuary of Capital Insurance Group and the leader of business intelligence at Western National Insurance. He also previously served as senior vice president of program products at QBE North America, where he was a member of the senior management team. By joining V3, he returns to the MGA space.

Innovative Coverage Concepts LLC (ICC), a Parsippany, N.J.-based national wholesale broker and managing general agency (MGA), has appointed Brian L. Eighmy as director of claims.

Eighmy has 20 years of experience in claims management, including in senior leadership positions at national third party administrators (TPAs).

Most recently, he was assistant vice president of the major case unit for Arch Insurance Group. In this position, he had oversight of the insurer’s most severe claim situations, which involved complex coverage issues, legal strategies or large exposures.

From 2008 to 2014, he was assistant vice president of claims with Berkley Program Specialists, a member of WR Berkley Corp. Prior to that, he was president of Blue Leaf Claims Inc., a national TPA.

Earlier in his career, he was an assistant vice president at GAB Robins North America Inc. He began his insurance career in 1998 with Murdock Claim Management Company, where he rose through the ranks to become president of the company in 2005.

Erie Insurance, an Erie, Penn.-based automobile, homeowner’s, life and business insurer, has appointed Kim Kaercher as corporate marketing officer with oversight of Erie’s marketing strategy and functions.

Kaercher’s background spans advertising, marketing, communications, program management and strategy development. Before coming to Erie, she served as marketing manager at two national companies, where her responsibilities included the development and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns and brand strategy.

The Iroquois Group, an Allegany, N.Y.-based service provider for independent property and casualty insurance agencies, has promoted Kevin McKay to regional vice president of its Northeast region.

McKay is a Londonderry, N.H.-based, 30-year industry veteran who served as a producer and agency owner prior to joining Iroquois in 2006. His promotion was in recognition of his expanded role in a seven-state region that recently incorporated New York.

In his new role, he is responsible for serving current Iroquois member agents in New England as well as adding new members to the network, according to The Iroquois Group’s website.

Markel Corporation has hired Beth Hungate-Noland as a managing director.

In this role, Hungate-Noland will join the team at Markel that is responsible for oversight of the company’s Markel Ventures operations and will be based out of Markel Corporation’s headquarters in Richmond, Va.

Hungate-Noland was most recently a partner in Williams Mullen’s corporate practice, where she spent 15 years serving clients with mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and corporate governance counseling.
