CPIA Society Names Selective Insurance its “Company Partner of the Year”

March 18, 2002

The Certified Professional Insurance Agents (CPIA) Society has recognized Selective Insurance Group, Inc., as its 2002 “Company Partner of the Year.” Selective was honored for its agent focused “One & Done” Internet-based business system that allows agents to issue small business policies from their offices, within minutes.

Richard Dygve, Chairman of the CPIA Society’s Awards Committee said, “We recognize that the relationship between independent agents and their carriers should be a unique partnership. This award honors companies like Selective, that create revolutionary and exciting programs that provide agents with support and tools for sales success.”

Philip Bogle, of the Bogle Agency, Inc., in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, nominated Selective for the award based on the success he’s had with the One & Done system in his office. “One & Done is easy for agents to use because it enables us to prepare a small commercial quote in our office and upload the information directly to the company via the Internet. It’s quick, it’s efficient and it works.”

Selective created One & Done in response to agent requests for a tool to help them grow their small business accounts in a cost-effective manner. According to Jim Caragher, Selective’s senior vice president of field operations, “Our goal is to make it easy and efficient for agents to do business with us. We are honored that the CPIA Society has recognized Selective and our One & Done program, as we continually strive to develop new tools to enhance our agency partnerships.”
