Dawn Marie Connelly of Pittsford was recently arrested, charged with insurance fraud in the third degree and grand larceny in the third degree. Connelly’s arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the Insurance Department’s Frauds Bureau and the Monroe County Sheriff’s office.
Connelly, 38, is alleged to have gathered more than $5,000 in no-fault benefits from Feb. 14 to May 17 of 2000 which she was not entitled to from Travelers Insurance Co. Connelly was allegedly taking in no-fault loss wage benefits resulting from a 1998 auto accident. In February of last year, she continued full-time work as a nurse but allegedly continued to obtain the no fault benefits.
If found guilty of the charges, Connelly could receive up to seven years in prison
