The Council of Insurance Brokers of Greater New York will present the 2003 “Man of the Year” award to Peter T. Demetriou, president of The Demetriou Group, at its 26th annual dinner dance, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. at the El Caribe Country Club in Brooklyn.
“Peter has been a devoted member of the insurance industry for many years,” stated Anthony S. Calafiore, CIBGNY vice president and dinner dance chair. “Active in many associations including CIBGNY, the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. and the Professional Insurance Wholesalers Association, his leadership and tenacity reflect the best our industry has to offer.”
The CIBGNY also will introduce the incoming CIBGNY officers and directors during the festivities.
“In this ever-changing business world, the stability and commitment of the CIBGNY membership and its leaders is unique and necessary,” noted Alfred E. Caputo, president, CIBGNY. “This organization recognizes the need for community among insurance professionals in the greater New York region and the newly inducted officers and directors are dedicated to protecting the needs of our members and their customers.”
Attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception, followed by an outstanding dinner selection, Viennese dessert hour, dancing and conversation with friends and colleagues. Tickets are $140 per person or $125 per person for tables of 10-12.
