RewardsPlus Forms Marketing Partnership with Riggs, Counselman, Michaels and Downes

November 13, 2003

RewardsPlus, a provider of benefits management technology, has entered into a joint marketing partnership with Riggs, Counselman, Michaels and Downes (RCM&D), a broker of insurance, risk management and employee benefits services based in Baltimore.

Under the partnership, the companies will work together to offer RewardsPlus’ benefits management solution, Benfinity(SM), to employers with more than 1,000 employees.

“RewardsPlus offers one of the most comprehensive benefits management solutions in the industry,” said Robert Harnett, senior vice president and director of RCM&D’s Financial Services Group. “We recognize the growing importance of technology in managing benefits programs and our firm is committed to providing our clients with the best solutions available in the marketplace. We believe our partnership with RewardsPlus is an important part of that commitment.”

RewardsPlus’ Benfinity is a suite of Web-based applications and professional services designed to simplify and automate employee benefits communication, self-service enrollment and ongoing administration. The system relieves human resources departments from the burden of manual or paper-based processes and reportedly improves the accuracy of the data being sent to carriers.

As a result, employers gain flexibility and control in managing benefits programs, avoid overpayment of premiums and save on their total benefit costs.

“We choose RewardsPlus because we wanted to provide our clients with value-added services,” continued Harnett. “The Benfinity system helps employers access a single source for core and voluntary benefits enrollment and administration. This means employers can save on benefits communication costs and significantly reduce the amount of time spent on benefits administration.”

“Many companies today are asking their HR departments to do more with less,” said Sam Mayfield, senior vice president of Enterprise Solutions for RewardsPlus.

“With the Benfinity system, employers are able to address the significant costs associated with delivering and managing their core benefits. Our goal is to empower employers and employees through 24/7 access to benefits information and self-service enrollment. We want to help human resources professionals reduce administration costs and establish controls for the delivery of benefits. We’re very excited about our partnership with RCM&D.”
