The Company Executive award is given annually to an “individual who has demonstrated qualities that foster a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who best exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service,” said the announcement.

“Throughout her career, Ms. Giustiniani has demonstrated a respect for her colleagues and customers in the insurance industry of an extraordinary caliber,” stated Harvey A. Giustiniani responded: “I am pleased to be recognized by PIANY. To be in the company of the insurance professionals who have previously won this award is truly an honor.”

The General Agent award recognizes “an individual from an insurance company, general agency or managing general agency who has forged a strong working commitment with metropolitan agents and brokers in the insurance industry,” said the bulletin.

“Throughout his career, Bob has demonstrated a respect for his colleagues and customers in the insurance industry of an extraordinary caliber,” Leff stated. “PIANY is proud to present this award to him.”

Pfeffer commented “It is an honor to be recognized by PIANY with this award,” said. “Affirmation by one’s peers in the industry is a great measure of success.”

An active past President, Pfeffer joined the insurance industry in 1966. His membership with the association spans nearly 20 years and includes involvement with the Government Affairs Committee, the Member Relations Committee, as president of PIA National’s Presidents’ Advisory Council and as association liaison to the New York State Insurance Department’s Coastal Market Assistance Plan.
