Pa. Consumer Liaison Schedules July Advisory Meetings

July 1, 2005

Cindy Fillman, the Pennsylvania Insurance Department’s consumer liaison, has scheduled the next series of regional consumer advisory meetings.

“During the first round of meetings in April, consumers asked a variety of questions on the many types of insurance, including health, life, auto, long term care, homeowners and flood insurance,” Fillman said.

“The purpose of July’s meetings is to talk about the first steps we’ve taken to address some of the particular insurance concerns raised in the first round of meetings, to explain our next steps and to continue to listen as consumers share what’s on their minds. Some topics we’ll be discussing include credit-based insurance scores, education and outreach opportunities and homeowners’ issues. ”

The Office of Consumer Liaison has a new section on the Insurance Department’s website, http://www.insurance.state.pa.us where consumers can learn about future outreach events, gather important tips about their insurance coverages, or e-mail a question or concern to the Liaison’s Office.
