The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York, Inc. recently made new appointments to its board of directors.
IIABNY approved Lane S. Rubin, managing member of Excel Coverage Group, LLC in Westbury, as Secretary-Treasurer, filling a vacancy on the association’s Executive Committee. He had represented member agents and brokers in the Suburban-Metropolitan Region since his election as a regional director in May 2006. As Secretary-Treasurer, Rubin will oversee the association’s funds and reports to the IIABNY Executive Committee on all fund movement and activities. He is also responsible for managing the association’s records.

Frank had previously served as a member of the board of directors for IAAC, IIABNY’s membership services division, and will be eligible for election to a full two-year term in May 2008 when Rubin’s term would have expired.
