Marsh & McLennan Agency, a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh Inc. appointed John Sames as regional executive vice president of its New York City and Milford, Conn., offices.
In this new role, Sames will be responsible for the overall growth strategies, including talent development, sales management, and acquisitions, in those two regions.
Sames brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance brokerage industry to Marsh & McLennan Agency. Most recently, he was president of the Washington, D.C., metro office of USI Holdings.
Prior to that, he was vice president and national practice leader of USI’s management and professional services insurance sector. Sames began his career in 1985 at Sames Insurance Agency, a family-run business.
Marsh & McLennan Agency, a Marsh subsidiary, was established in 2008 to target midsize businesses in the United States. It operates autonomously from Marsh and offers commercial property, casualty, personal lines, and employee benefits to clients across the country.
