Keystone Insurers Group has added Erie, Penn.-based agency Hart, McConahy & Martz as a new franchise partner.
Established in 1872, Hart, McConahy & Martz is Erie’s oldest insurance agency. Over the years, four agencies merged to form the agency as it is currently known. Carl Martz and Patrick Hart are equal partners in the agency. Hart, McConahy & Martz offers personal, business, life and health products.
Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Northumberland, Penn., Keystone Insurers Group is owned by its franchise partners and employees in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana and Ohio. In addition, Keystone Insurers Group conducts business in Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia. Each partner is an independent agency. With property/casualty premiums exceeding $2 billion, Keystone Insurers Group is ranked fifth on Insurance Journal‘s 2012 list of Top 100 Privately-Held Property/Casualty Agencies.
