Executives from a Massachusetts-based independent insurance agency recently announced the launch of a new agency network.
The New England Insurance Group Network, which began operation in January, is based in Newton, Massachusetts. It was founded by Edward Lukatsky and Steven Salhaney. Lukatsky is CEO and Salhaney is president of New England Insurance Group, an independent agency headquartered in Newton with four additional locations.
The New England Insurance Group Network currently has 10 member agencies and plans to add more members who share similar philosophies, aiming to become a bigger presence in the marketplace.
“It seems like large agencies are getting larger and small agencies are getting smaller. And it’s becoming harder and harder to be small independent agencies in the marketplace today,” said Lukatsky.
“So what we are trying to do is come together to be a larger unit as a whole,” he said. “Individually we are only so big, but together we are a significantly louder voice with carriers and a bigger presence in the market in general, which allows us to have more insurance carriers and have more options for our clients.”
