Cook Maran & Associates, an insurance broker with offices in East Hampton, Southampton and Melville, New York, as well as in Marlton and Fair Lawn, New Jersey, promoted four staff members to vice president and two staff members to assistant vice president.
Named vice presidents are Gary Lavery, John Morreale, Alison Schmidt and Christine Schrader. Together the four new officers represent 65 years of experience with the firm. Lavery, account executive, has been with the agency for four years and is based in the Southampton office. Morreale joined Cook Maran in 1993 and serves as senior account executive in the Melville office.
Schmidt is private client insurance advisor in the Southampton office. She is an eight-year employee of Cook Maran. Schrader, personal insurance advisor based in the Melville office, has been with Cook Maran for 31 years.
Carrie O’Brien and Keith Maietta, both of the commercial insurance marketing department, were promoted to assistant vice president. O’Brien joined Cook Maran in 1999. Maietta has been with the firm for 10 years.
