Ironshore Inc. has named Emily C. Merola as branch executive of the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia region to lead development efforts in the newly established Pittsburgh office.
Merola will be responsible for distribution marketing and product development for commercial lines, reporting to Kevin J. Fee, regional executive of the Mid-Atlantic region.
“Ironshore has realized notable growth in this area within recent years and Emily’s local presence in overseeing business development from the new Pittsburgh location will be invaluable for providing greater service to our regionally-based clients,” Fee said.
Merola joins Ironshore after serving with Pittsburgh-area insurance brokerages. She was commercial lines specialist with Brian Ruscello Agency and director of marketing and sales with W.N. Tuscano Agency. Previously, she was global property facultative underwriter for General Reinsurance and commercial lines underwriter for middle market clients at CNA Insurance from their respective New York City offices. Merola also has been specialist underwriter for several divisions with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
Ironshore provides broker-sourced specialty property/casualty insurance coverages for varying risks on a global basis through its multiple international platforms.
