
Preferred Mutual Insurance Company in New Berlin, New York, has hired Andrew Forstenzer as general counsel.
Throughout his professional career, Forstenzer has served in multiple leadership roles. Most recently he was engaged as of counsel to the Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker national law firm in Dallas. Prior to this, he served as executive vice president and general counsel for the Crump Group and as vice president-senior litigation counsel for Marsh & McLennan Companies.
In his new role, Forstenzer will represent Preferred in its legal matters while also heading the Governmental Affairs and Claims Counsel departments.
Preferred Mutual Insurance Company provides property/casualty insurance coverage to more than 235,000 individual and business customers through a network of more than 450 independent agents throughout New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The mutual insurance company, in business since 1896, employs more than 270 employees.
