August 25, 2016

Starr Companies, a New York based global insurance and financial services organization, is continuing to expand its field operations throughout the U.S. with the addition of new offices and leadership. Most recently, the firm announced the opening of two branch locations in Nashville, Tenn., and Pittsburgh, Penn., and has appointed branch managers to lead the new offices.

John Nissley has joined Starr as the branch manager of its Pittsburgh office, in which he will be responsible for field leadership and broker and client relationships within the Western Pennsylvania area. Nissley brings more than 17 years of insurance and broker organization experience to his new role. Additionally, the company has hired Michael Ponder as the branch manager of its new Nashville office, in which he will work to drive strategic growth, financial performance and broker and client relationships throughout Tennessee.

The company also promoted Conan Dolce to branch manager of its New York field office, where he will be responsible for field leadership and broker and client relationships in the New York Metro area. Dolce initially joined Starr in April 2015.

These leadership appointments come after a series of new hires for Starr this year, including the addition of Brian Inselberg as the New York based senior vice president of financial lines in June and the July hiring of Dorian Grey as the Miami based president of the firm’s Latin America Division.
