Allianz Partners, a Henrico, Va.-based insurance company, has hired Jeff Wright as chief financial officer and Jim O’Connor as head of Operations.
Wright succeeds Diane Babson, who took an assignment with another Allianz Partners business unit, while O’Connor fills a new role helming the company’s expanding Operations division.
Wright has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. At Allianz Partners, he is responsible for driving and implementing the financial business strategy for the Global Travel line of business and the US and Canadian business units.
Prior to joining Allianz Partners, Wright worked at Genworth Financial, where he was CFO of the U.S. life insurance division. He also led a direct finance and actuarial team of 130 associates. His work history spans treasury, financial planning and analysis, rating agencies, reinsurance and mergers and acquisitions.
As head of Operations, O’Connor is responsible for the strategic planning and tactical execution of Operations initiatives that support business objectives. With more than 20 years of experience in his field, he has led call centers, product innovations teams and project management teams. Prior to joining Allianz Partners, he worked in the financial services industry, where he redesigned processes to improve customer experience and reduce complexity, cycle times and costs.
