The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) has appointed Jim Romanelli, senior vice president and New York City branch manager at CNA, as chair of the IICF Northeast Division’s board of directors.
Romanelli began his tenure at CNA more than nine years ago as senior vice president and Northeastern zone officer, where he was responsible for executing CNA’s global strategy within the region before taking over as territory officer and NYC branch manager.

Romanelli has been a strong supporter of IICF since 2011 and has served on the Northeast Board for five years, where he has been instrumental in developing a new engagement strategy for IICF in the Northeast.
Romanelli will be succeeding Hank Watkins, regional director and president, Americas, at Lloyd’s, who served a three-year tenure as chair. As Watkins’ tenure concludes, the IICF Northeast Division remains the foundation’s largest, with more than $9 million in grants awarded since 2007 to hundreds of tri-state charities and nonprofits.
