McGriff Hires New York’s Carille to Environmental Practice as Vice President

McGriff hired Daniel Carille to its environmental practice as vice president and lead environmental marketer.

Based in New York City, Carille specializes in environmental risk strategy and development and placement for energy, power and large commercial clients.

Carille is joining the environmental practice after three years on the McGriff energy team, where he provided consultative brokerage and policy placement for large power and commercial clients. Prior to joining McGriff, he served as a client advisor and placement specialist on the environmental team of a large global broker for five years before assuming client-facing roles with that and other top brokers.

In his new role, Carille will help McGriff clients manage their global environmental risk and transfer current and legacy environmental liabilities. He has been heavily involved recently in liability transfer for contaminated coal-fired plants from the utility to private sectors.

Lockton Names New York’s Doroff to Pacific Series Cyber Practice

Lockton Financial Services named Elissa Doroff to its Pacific series cyber practice. Doroff is based in New York.

She will serve as the lead technical consultant and advise clients and colleagues on best practices in risk mitigation, vendor management and claims navigation.

Doroff has held executive positions at several national and global insurance brokerages and carriers during the past 15 years. She was most recently managing director and cyber technical leader for NFP’s management and professional lines. Prior to that, she headed AXA XL’s risk management services as an underwriting and product manager.

Lockton’s Pacific region encompasses nine offices throughout the Western U.S., including Portland, Sonoma, San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, Encino, Los Angeles, Irvine and San Diego.
