XPT Hires Bewick as Senior Vice President in Massachusetts

XPT, a national specialty insurance wholesale distribution company, hired industry veteran Gordon Bewick as senior vice president. He will be based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Bewick’s experience combined with the support of XPT brokerage resources will allow him to offer client solutions through XPT’s programs and markets. This announcement also signifies XPT’s continued commitment to growth with expansion throughout the Northeast as Bewick establishes a team of specialty brokers.

Bewick joins XPT with more than 40 years of industry knowledge. He began his insurance career in London with Sedgwick Forbes London, later being recruited to New York as vice president of North American subsidiary. He has also held the positions of senior vice president with Crump Insurance and most recently as the founder and president of Boston Insurance Brokerage.

InsurBanc Hires Sprang as Senior Vice President, Director of Agency Banking

InsurBanc hired Matthew Sprang as senior vice president and director of agency banking.

Most recently, Sprang was responsible for the insurance agency lending and banking initiative of Westfield Bank of Ohio, where he was president of agency banking. He will bring those skills to expand the capability and reach of InsurBanc in the same insurance distribution niche.

Started in 2001 as a vision of the Big “I,” InsurBanc finances acquisitions and perpetuations and helps agencies to become more efficient by providing cash management solutions. Distinguished Programs Hires O’Donnell as Regional Sales Executive for New York

Distinguished Programs, a national insurance program manager, hired Jared O’Donnell to its sales team as regional sales executive for Manhattan, Hudson Valley and upstate New York. He will be based in Pennsylvania and operate remotely.

O’Donnell brings more than 10 years of experience in commercial underwriting and sales to his new role. In his role, he will work with agents and brokers throughout New York to choose proper insurance programs for clients across the full range of specialized products and services offered through Distinguished Programs.

Prior to joining Distinguished Programs, he served as territory manager for Nationwide in the Northeast, where he was responsible for helping agencies grow their business. In a previous role as a new business underwriter, O’Donnell was responsible for marketing efforts and revenue expansion across New Jersey and Pennsylvania for nearly 75 independent agents.

Distinguished Programs is a national insurance program manager providing specialized insurance programs to brokers and agents with specific expertise in real estate, community associations, hotels and restaurants. Property and liability products are distributed through a national network of agents and brokers.
