Arbella Insurance Signs NFL Patriots Rookie QB Jones as Pitchman

January 5, 2022

New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is the new pitchman for Massachusetts-based Arbella Insurance Group.

The regional property/casualty insurer, headquartered in Quincy, said it will launch a new ad campaign next week featuring the popular rookie footballer. The campaign will run on television, radio, billboards and social media through the 2023-2024 season, Arbella officials said in a news release. Details about the ads were not provided.

“Mac is a true competitor and has restored excitement in New England football fans. He’s also sincere about wanting to give back to our communities, and that’s important to Arbella,” said Arbella’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Gayle O’Connell.

Selected in the first round of the NFL draft last year, the former University of Alabama QB has proven to be adept at the position and has led the Patriots to a 10-6 record and a playoff berth.

Established in 1988, the Arbella Insurance Group said it is rated “A” by AM Best, and has more than $800 million in revenue and approximately $1.8 billion in assets. It offers commercial insurance products in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire, and personal lines in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

In signing Jones as spokesperson, Arbella joins other insurers represented by NFL quarterbacks including State Farm (Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rogers and Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes), Progressive (Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield) and Nationwide (former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning).
