Pittsburgh’s Henderson Brothers Promotes Two Veterans for New Roles

Greater Pittsburg insurance agency Henderson Brothers announced two promotions to its professional staff.

Thomas Philbin, director of Commercial Lines, has been named director of Mergers and Acquisitions and director of Strategic Accounts, newly created roles supporting the firm’s growth.

Philbin has served Henderson Brothers customers for more than three decades.

Daniel Coast, vice president of Commercial Lines, has been named practice leader of Large Commercial Lines. Coast will oversee all operations of the division, including carrier relations and new business development. He is a 14-year firm veteran.

Resilience Names Thompson to Underwriting Post

Cyber insurance agency Resilience announced the addition of Sarah Thompson as senior vice president of Underwriting.

Thompson joins Resilience from Aon, where she was director of Reinsurance in Global Cyber Practice. Thompson has also served as vice president at Aon Cyber Solutions, where she was responsible for client services of large multinational clients placing cyber/EO risk. Before joining Aon, Thompson held various roles at AIG.

Thompson is based in the Resilience New York office, and will report to Killian Brady, vice president of Underwriting, Eastern region.

California-based Resilience is backed by General Catalyst, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Founders Fund, CRV, Intact Ventures, Shield Capital, and Corey Thomas.
