Plymouth Rock Names GEICO’s Measley Chief Claims Officer

Plymouth Rock Assurance Corp. has appointed Paul Measley as its chief claims officer. Measley joins Boston, Massachusetts-based Plymouth Rock from GEICO and is responsible for the claims organization within Plymouth Rock’s independent agency business.

Measley spent nearly 30 years at GEICO in various roles, most recently developing aspects of GEICO’s corporate claims strategy, including digital claims, systems, first notice of loss, personal injury protection, subrogation, training and auditing. Prior to that role, he oversaw several large claims offices for GEICO across the southwestern U.S.

Burns & Wilcox Expands Pittsburgh Management Team, Adds Chappie

Burns & Wilcox, a global wholesale insurance brokerage headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, has announced the addition of Carrie Chappie to its Pittsburgh management team as associate managing director.

As associate managing director, Chappie will oversee the Pittsburgh office’s day-to-day operations and growth strategy. With over 30 years in the industry, she most recently worked at Conway E&S, where she served as president of wholesale. She has also held roles with other industry players, including Marsh and AIG Risk Management.

Burns & Wilcox has recently experienced rapid growth, onboarding more than 300 new hires and promoting 200 existing associates in the last year.
