The Hartford Names Dominioni Head of Northeast Sales and Underwriting for Middle and Large Commercial

The Hartford has appointed Hank Dominioni head of sales and underwriting for its middle and large commercial businesses’ northeast division. Dominioni will lead sales and underwriting operations for the company’s independent agents, brokers and customers across seven northeastern states from Maine to New York.

Dominioni has been with The Hartford, based in Hartford, Connecticut, for over 20 years, most recently serving as head of northern and southern New England. His experience includes risk engineering and insurance underwriting for technology and life science business lines.

Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Appoints Switchenko as Vice President of Customer Solutions

Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corp. in Woodbridge, New Jersey, has appointed Rachel Switchenko as its vice president of customer solutions.

Switchenko, who previously directed customer care for Plymouth Rock’s independent agent auto business, is responsible for customer service and underwriting for the Home group. Prior to joining Plymouth Rock, Switchenko spent 11 years at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where she worked in accounting and data analytics before becoming the director of call center operations for both the Liberty Mutual and Safeco brands.

Sayata Names Gidron New Vice President of R&D

Sayata, a digital marketplace for insurance brokers and carriers to scale their small and medium business portfolios, announced Shachar Gidron has joined the executive team as vice president of research and development. He will oversee the technological vision and development from the Boston office.

Previously, Gidron was vice president of research and development at Model9, a startup serving large enterprises. Before Model9, Gidron rose from software engineer to director of engineering at Via, a leading TransitTech solution that improves transportation efficiencies for municipalities and transit operators. At Via, he built the sales-engineering department from the ground up, providing product and technology scoping to the global sales teams.
