Three Romanian economic magazines, “Financial Market”, “PRIMM” and “Bucharest Business Week,” have given Allianz’ Romanian oerations, Allianz Tiriac, their awards as the best local operating insurer of the year 2002.
The awards were in recognition of the “the rapid growth and good results” the company achieved in the country last year, according to Allianz’ news Web site, www.allianz.com.
“For ‘Financial Market’ (‘Piata Financiara’) – the most important monthly economic publication in Romania – it has become a tradition to nominate the main market outperformers within the local financial sector at the end of each year,” said the report. “In December 2002, Allianz-Tiriac Insurance Co. has been awarded ‘Insurer of the year’ for the third time in the last four years, as the company has received the same prize in 1999 and 2001.”
“PRIMM,” the only Romanian magazine specialized in insurance issues, named Allianz-Tiriac “insurer of the year” in the non-life insurance sector, and also gave it a special “Media Communications” award for its “transparency and active communication with the media.”
“Bucharest Business Week,” also a well-known local weekly economic magazine, edited in English, designated Allianz-Tiriac as “The Best Insurance Company, 2002” for its performance and its perspectives.
