Assurex Global, the world’s largest privately held risk management and commercial insurance brokerage group, announced that James R. Hackbarth has been named as its new President and CEO, effective immediately.
“Hackbarth brings to Assurex Global extensive experience in all phases of management including business planning, acquisitions, joint ventures, revenue generation, strategic alliances, product development, and international sales and marketing,” said the bulletin. “Boasting a solid track record in technology, Hackbarth most recently served as CEO of Cornerstone Partners, the high-tech consulting and executive recruiting firm he founded in 1996. Previously, Hackbarth held executive positions with the international software company Information Dimensions, as well as Agency Management Services, Leader Systems, Policy Management Systems, and IBM.”
Assurex Global Board Chairman Greg Collins, president of Parker, Smith & Feek, Assurex Global’s Seattle, Washington Partner, noted: “With his proven ability to grow business, manage international operations, and drive technology, Jim Hackbarth is ideally suited to lead Assurex Global.”
