Thirty-eight Canadian farm mutual insurance companies have committed to group purchase the next generation WebWriter BackOffice insurance solution, said a company announcement.
44 insurers in North America and the Caribbean are now using the product. The bulletin described the next generation of WebWriter BackOffice solution as a “product of a strategic partnership between Mutual Concept Computer Group Inc. (MCCG) of London, Ontario and Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI) of Toronto, Ontario. The project will advance the jointly-owned existing 2-tier leading edge software application to an open source, java based, n-tier solution with many new features such as CRM, automated workflow, web based transactions and multiple automation improvements.”
ISI President Terry Neilson commented: “This partnership between MCCG and ISI will provide the synergy necessary to take the WebWriter BackOffice solution to a level that will be far ahead of the competition. This is crucial in order to provide advanced automation at an affordable price to companies trying to remain competitive in the insurance industry.”
MCCG President Dorin Mascan noted that the company’s “team is very excited about the recent move by the industry to our solution. The partnership with ISI will provide a rapid migration to leading edge technology that will allow our clients to increase their productivity.”
