— Certification Award

Denise Garth, VP-Membership & Development, ACORD, commented: “Web Connectivity’s commitment to ACORD standards is a testament to their commitment to the industry. Adoption of standards not only drives business opportunities but also sends the right message to those companies looking to compete in this marketplace. We applaud Web Connectivity for their leadership in ACORD Standards implementation and congratulate them on this
terrific achievement.”

Web Connectivity’s Director Andrew Cassels noted that the company’s programs are “built on and around standards, we provide a gateway which is not only completely certified by ACORD for all messages being used, but now also stands out as a winner. The aim of our EnabledB2B design is to provide the best and simplest
possible ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality to our customers, who are able to start using the gateway almost immediately after installation”.

The company’s bulletin noted: “EnabledB2B is currently being used to handle messaging between five pairs of trading partners in the London Insurance Market using ACORD’s standards for Reinsurance & Large Commercial, Document Repository, Security and SOAP messaging. The handling of business messages is not ACORD specific and EnabledB2B can handle any other type of business message and supporting information.”

“In London Market terms, installing our technology means that our customers can send and receive the London Market Electronic Claims File messages and at the same time are ready for the Accounting and Settlement initiative,” Cassels added.
