Mike Warwicker has been named chief operating officer for Starr Excess International Liability Insurance Company, LTD, where he will have management responsibility for the Dublin headquarters and the London and Bermuda Branches of SEI.
Warwicker joined Starr Excess International in September 2003 from QBE where he was general manager of the Major Risk Division’s London Market Operations. Prior to QBE, he spent five years at Munich-American Risk Partners specializing in insurance and ART solutions for Global Risk Managed clients, and before that, eight years with Alexander Howden, where he held a number of different positions in the Non-Marine Division.
He began his career in 1977 with Lexington Insurance Company as a casualty underwriter in the London branch office and also worked in Home Office in Boston during his 11 years there. His most recent position which he held since November of 2004 was as managing director, Europe and Operations Manager for SEI.
