The ACE Group of Companies announced the appointment of Rainer Kirchgaessner as Global Corporate Development Officer. He is joining ACE from General Electric, where he was a business development executive in their Commercial Finance division.
In this new position based in New York, Kirchgaessner will report to ACE President and CEO Evan Greenberg. He will work with members of ACE’s senior management team on the identification and analysis of new business opportunities, potential acquisitions and alliance partners.
“Rainer has impressive corporate finance credentials, particularly as they relate to the insurance and reinsurance industry,” Greenberg stated. “We welcome Rainer to ACE and look forward to his contributions as we continue to maximize our global business model and expand our capabilities and presence around the world.”
Kirchgaessner has held a number of management positions in the financial services industry and served as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Co.’s Financial Institutions Group in Frankfurt. Mr. Kirchgaessner’s international experience includes investment banking and private equity assignments with JPMorgan in London and New York, Capital Z Partners in London and Deutsche Bank in New York.
