Bermuda’s XL Capital Ltd. has posted its plans to hold its second “Global Day of Giving” on Thursday, May 10, 2007. XL sponsors the program in support of the communities in which its companies operate.

Last year’s first Global Day of Giving, held on June 16, 2006, commemorated the Company’s 20th anniversary. XL employees donated over 20,000 hours of community service to more than 200 charitable projects in more than 20 locations worldwide.

President and CEO Brian M. O’Hara stated: “I am pleased that we are once again committing to a global volunteer day to support initiatives and programs within our local communities. Our efforts last year were a success and drew such a tremendous response, boosting our employee volunteerism, that we decided to repeat the event again this year.”
