September 25, 2007

Dublin-based Research and Markets has added Datamonitor’s new report: “Global Non-life Insurance” to their offering.

R&M said its “Global Non-life Insurance industry profile is an essential resource for top-level data and analysis covering the non-life insurance industry. It includes detailed data on market size and segmentation, plus textual and graphical analysis of the key trends and competitive landscape, leading companies and demographic information.”

The market profile covers the accident and health insurance sector and the property and casualty insurance sector. The value of the non-life insurance market is shown in terms of gross premium incomes. “Any currency conversions used in the report have been calculated using constant 2005 annual average exchange rates,” said the bulletin. These have changed substantially, however, over the last 18 months.

“The non-life insurance market depends on a variety of economic and non-economic factors and future performance is difficult to predict,” the bulletin continued. “The forecast given in this report is not based on a complex economic model, but is intended as a rough guide to the direction in which the market is likely to move. This forecast is based on a correlation between past market growth and growth of base drivers, such as house price growth, GDP growth and long-term interest rates.”

The bulletin explained that, for the purpose of this report “the Americas comprises Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the US. Europe comprises Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden and the UK. Asia-Pacific comprises Australia, China, Japan, India, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.

“The global figure comprises the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe.”
