Aon Integrates Risk Services Operations

Aon Corp. announced that it is integrating its worldwide risk and insurance brokerage operations into a single global business – Aon Risk Services. The newly formed operation will have “more than 26,000 colleagues in 120 countries and more than $5 billion in revenues,” said the bulletin.

President and CEO Greg Case described the realignment as based on “helping clients, or helping colleagues help our clients.” He described it as a “significant and logical next step in aligning our incredible resources and talent around our clients, and follows on the success of our other core global businesses — Aon Re Global and Aon Consulting” (See following article).

Steve McGill, currently CEO of Aon Risk Services Americas and Aon Global Aon Risk Services has been named as Chairman and CEO. Ted T. Devine, currently chief executive officer of Aon Re Global will serve as the Division’s president. Both men will continue to be based in Chicago.

McGill, whose career spans three decades, has led Aon Risk Services Americas and Aon Global since 2006. Devine, who joined Aon in 2005, has served as CEO of Aon Re Global, head of strategy for Aon Corporation, COO of Aon Risk Services Americas and COO of Aon Global.

“In bringing all our Aon Risk Services operations together, we are enhancing the ability of our colleagues around the world to bring their deep knowledge of local needs, innovation and expertise to one global, client-focused business,” McGill explained.

“For Aon Risk Services to truly operate on a global scale, Steve and I will create a global leadership team of senior Aon professionals from around the world,” Devine added.
