Aon Names Soeteman-Reijnen Managing Director – Europe, Middle East, Africa

Aon Risk Services has appointed Marguerite Soeteman-Reijnen as managing director, head of broking excellence for Aon Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), with immediate effect.

The bulletin from Aon’s London office noted that the broking excellence unit “forms a core area of focus for the recently created single, global business, Aon Risk Services.” Soeteman-Reijnen will be responsible for ongoing development of broking operation processes across EMEA to align them more closely to the needs of Aon’s clients.

She previously served as managing director of Aon Capital Markets for EMEA. She is a licensed broker and associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in London and has participated in executive programs at INSEAD [the French business school] and the Kellogg School of Management, as well as an English law program at the London School of Economics. She also has a master’s degree in law from Erasmus University in Rotterdam and is an honorary chairperson of the Dutch Reinsurance Association where she was elected the first-ever female chairperson in 1996.

Michael Moran, global head of broking excellence noted that Soeteman-Reijnen “has 18 years of expertise in insurance and reinsurance and has worked closely with clients and carriers in various positions within Aon Re Global and Aon Risk Services. Her demonstrated success and leadership skills, along with the strength of her already existing relationships with insurers, positions us well to drive a better client result via broking excellence across EMEA.”
