Bermuda’s Max Capital Group announced the appointment of Susan Spivak Bernstein as Senior Vice President for Investor Relations. She has “twenty years of experience covering property and casualty insurance and reinsurance companies working as a sell-side equity research analyst, most recently as Senior Equity Research Analyst with Wachovia Securities,” the bulletin noted.

Before joining Wachovia in 2002, Spivak Bernstein was Senior Non-life Insurance Equities Research Analyst with ABN AMRO. She previously served as Vice President, Equities Research Analyst with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and as Equities Research Associate with First Boston Corporation. She has been providing Bermuda insurance market research to investors since the early 1990s.
Max Cap Chairman and CEO W. Marston (Marty) Becker indicated that her “wealth of experience in our marketplace and important relationships with institutional investors” makes her a “valuable addition to our team.”
In her new role, Spivak bernstein “will assume certain duties previously performed by Jim Tees,” Becker continued. “We regret that, after many years of dedicated service, Jim will be leaving the Company in order to be with his family in the U.S. and to seek a senior financial position there.”
She is a 1988 graduate of the University of Michigan, and is an officer and past president of the Association of Insurance and Financial Analysts.
