Bermuda-based Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Limited announced that Dominic Kirby will replace Tom Bolt as Managing Director of Marlborough Underwriting Agency Limited, effective August 1, 2009.
Kirby has been employed at Flagstone since July 2007, most recently overseeing the Marine and Energy business and also serving as Deputy Managing Director of Marlborough, where he was instrumental in the integration of Marlborough into Flagstone.
Prior to joining Flagstone, he served as Chief Underwriting Officer for Global Marine and Energy at Navigators Group. Kirby will oversee the underwriting operations at Marlborough, working alongside the existing senior management team. Bolt will leave Marlborough amicably to take over the role of Underwriting Performance Director at Lloyds (See above article).

Kirby’s appointment is subject to final approval from Lloyd’s and the Financial Services Authority.
