Lloyd’s Insurer Jubilee Launches New Brand Consolidation Plan

September 17, 2009

The specialist Lloyd’s insurer Jubilee Managing Agency Limited announced the launch of a new brand across its operations, which it said reflects “the company’s strategic plans to expand and grow its business lines in the future.

Jubilee is the managing agent for three Lloyd’s syndicates – 1231, 5820 and 779 – specializing in fleet, taxi, bus and coach insurance, commercial property and personal lines. It also offers term life policies for businesses.

The Company is “unifying its Lloyd’s underwriting and administrative operating companies, including Cassidy Davis,” under the single Jubilee brand, said the bulletin. “This single brand will promote a clearer connection between the different parts of the Jubilee group and present brokers with a deeper range of products and services in a more direct and simple way.”

CEO Andreas Loucaides described the amalgamation as the “next logical step in creating the right business environment to extend the company’s market position and expand our business lines.”

He added that the move would “make it easier for brokers to understand the full range and scale of our capabilities. Our staff will benefit from working together and developing their skills in the wider group. “Our brands, such as Cassidy Davis, have built strong reputations but we recognize the strength that brand harmonization can deliver as we evolve our business towards a multi-line insurer.”

Cassidy Davis is Jubilee’s specialist personal lines insurer through Lloyd’s Syndicate 5820 and Syndicate 779. Its Life underwriting business will become Jubilee Personal Lines and Jubilee Life Insurance, respectively. Jubilee’s specialist motor underwriting business, written through Syndicate 1231 will become Jubilee Motor Policies. The Global Property team, which joined Jubilee in January this year, underwriting a range of direct, facultative and binder commercial business through Syndicate 5820, will become Jubilee Global Property.

Jubilee’s service operation, Cassidy Davis Insurance Services based in Haywards Heath providing claims and administrative services and its European operation based in Amsterdam will become Jubilee Service Solutions.

Jubilee’s retail life business Lutine will continue to operate under its existing brand.
