Marsh Appoints Woolley and Petit-Lambotte as EMEA P/C Leaders

Marsh has appointed Caroline Woolley as Property Practice Leader, and Alain Petit-Lambotte as Casualty Practice Leader, for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

A bulletin from Marsh’s London office explained that the new leaders are “part of its drive to spearhead the development of market-leading property, business interruption and casualty risk and insurance solutions to clients across the region.”

Woolley succeeds Katherine Kanaga following her retirement and Petit-Lambotte succeeds Nick Bacon, now CEO of Bowring Marsh. Both have reporting lines into Bruce Trigg, Head of Marsh’s EMEA Risk Management Practice.

Woolley is a Chartered Accountant [the UK equivalent of a CPA] with almost 15 years’ experience in forensic accounting. She joined Marsh four years ago as Accountancy Leader for the Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) team within Marsh Risk Consulting. She has managed the preparation of insurance claims and commercial dispute cases for Marsh’s clients. She also developed other services including supply chain assessments and business interruption insurance reviews. Ms Woolley will continue to be based in London.

Petit-Lambotte is a lawyer with 21 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He has held a variety of senior liability placements and advisory positions since joining Marsh in 1995. Most recently, he was a member of the EMEA casualty team with particular responsibility for managing the insurance programmes of Marsh’s large corporate clients. Based in Brussels, Petit-Lambotte will perform his new role in addition to his existing advisory and risk management responsibilities in Belgium and Luxembourg, reporting to Philippe Bioul and Henri Steyaert respectively.
