Global specialty insurer Torus is expanding its casualty platform with the appointment of David Whyman as senior vice president, UK head of Casualty, based in London. Reporting to David Perez, president and chief underwriting officer of Global Casualty, Whyman will develop offerings for the London market.
Whyman’s casualty career spans over 27 years, all in the London market. Prior to Torus, he was a director at Aon, focusing on excess liability placements for North American domiciled risks. He has also held senior underwriting positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe Ltd and Zurich Specialties.
