Lloyd’s insurer Marketform announced that Directors’ and Officers’ liability underwriter Alexis Bowden has joined the company. She spent 11 years underwriting D&O at ACE European Group prior to joining Marketform.
Simon Lotter, Chief Underwriting Officer at Marketform commented: “This hire demonstrates Marketform’s ambition in the London D&O market, and our continued ability to attract highly qualified underwriters to enhance the expertise and service in the classes of business we now underwrite.”
Ian West, Class Underwriter for Directors’ and Officers’ Liability at Marketform’s Syndicate 2468 added: “We are really delighted that Alexis has joined us. Her underwriting experience is sure to be an asset to our D&O team, especially in the London Market.”
Marketform has been a subsidiary of American Financial Group since 2007, when the U.S.-based insurer acquired a majority of its shares. The bulletin describes it as “a key UK and international specialist insurer underwriting a diverse range of commercial insurance,” especially in the Lloyd’s market. It underwrites medical malpractice, professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ liability, general liability, employers’ liability, property, bloodstock, accident and health, political risks, trade credit, specie, and marine cargo, hull, war, terrorism and liability.
